U.11 Football Tournament

On Friday 22nd January Fairfield took part in an U.11 Football Tournament at the Soccerdome in Derby. Fairfield A and Fairfield B were drawn in separate Pools. The B team played some great attacking football and finished 2nd to qualify for the semi-finals. Here are their results:

The A team won all their pool matches without conceding a goal. Their results were:

The semi-final between Fairfield A and B was a very tight encounter with the B team dominating the opening stages. However, the A team took control of the game and scored twice before the final whistle.

Fairfield were extremely unlucky not to reach the Final as they played the better football but unfortunately could not take their chances.

Fairfield came back from 2-0 down to take the game into extra time but again luck was with their opponents as they scored with their first attempt at goal.
