Menus are compiled to provide healthy choices, low in salt, sugar and saturated fat. Fresh food from local suppliers is used wherever practical.
Pupils take Lunch in Fairfield Dining Hall, where food is served from 12 noon to 1.05 pm. Every day sees a choice of at least three hot dishes including vegetarian. Pasta rice or potatoes and a selection of vegetables are available each day.There is a salad bar with meat cheese and fish accompanied by soup, jacket potatoes bread rolls and a “Help yourself” salad bar.
Yoghurts, fresh fruit, cheese and biscuits, milk and fruit juice are available every day along with home made cakes and biscuits and a hot pud with custard.
Vegetarian, gluten free, and dishes containing halal meat are available on request.
