The School provides education to girls and boys aged 4 - 11 and is one of the three Loughborough Endowed Schools

Balanced Education

The Prep School day is very similar to that of the Pre-Prep with a morning assembly, four periods before lunch, three periods in the afternoon and ‘home time’ at 3.40 p.m. Most of the children enjoy the extended curriculum, taking part in the many lunch-time and after-school activities such as small Music Ensembles, Dance, Drama, Science and Maths Club as well as various Sports Clubs, to name but a few.

Confidence

In years 1 and 2 children follow the National Curriculum in preparation for Key Stage 1 tests which are taken at 7+. During literacy and numeracy lessons, all children - irrespective of ability - are withdrawn from the class in small groups to receive support and individual attention.

Throughout the Pre-Prep Department, the interaction and care between the staff and children are very noticeable. Even at such an early age, all pupils in the Department enjoy the wider curriculum and regularly attend trips and outings to local places of interest.

Parents are invited to attend class assemblies once a week in the Assembly Hall as well as other special occassions, such as Harvest Festivals, Christmas Plays and Sports Days.

The Fairfield Pre-Prep provides the very best start for your son's and daughter's education and they will be well on their way to achieving their full potential before they move on to the Preparatory School.
