Fairfield House ws built in 1823 and was lived in by the White family, hosiery manufacturers , until 1893. It is the oldest part of the school and was first used by the Loughborough Endowed Schools for the girls' junior department in 1924. Today, it is part of a flourishing co-educational day school for children from 4-11 years enjoying superb and outstanding facilities thanks to the foresight and wisdom of previous Heads and the Governing Body.
The school enjoys a green and extensive campus just south of the A6 on the outskirts of the University town of Loughborough. It is the Preparatory School to Loughborough Grammar School for boys and Loughborough High School for girls. All three schools are autonomous, and yet they share the same vision and educational ethos, supported by a very committed Board of Governors. The catchment area for Fairfield is vast with children travelling from Leicester, Nottingham and Derby, together with Loughborough and the surrounding villages. |
